Margaret Roath, MSW ’68

Margaret Roath (MSW ’68), LCSW, has been conveying social work perspectives to psychiatry students at the University of Colorado Medical School since the year she earned her graduate degree.  An Associate Clinical Professor, her current teaching assignments include a couples therapy class for fourth- year psychiatry residents. Roath’s other positions at CU include Director of Student Mental Health Services and Director of Social Work Internships. She also continues a private practice specializing in couples, family and individual therapy. Roath has served as Board President of Parenting After Divorce, a Colorado nonprofit, and as a Board member and President of both Mental Health America and the Colorado Society of Clinical Social Work. A staunch supporter of GSSW for many years, Roath is a member of our Board of Visitors, Field Advisory Committee and the Clinical Chair Campaign Committee.
